During IEEE SSCI 2025, we offer other events which will provide you more networking opportunities and help you to see around in Trondheim a bit better. Please note that these events are not included in the conference registration fee and, participants need to register and pay for themselves.
Guided City Walking Tour
Join us for a 2-hour journey through Trondheim's vibrant history! This guided city walk takes you through some of the most iconic and charming sites, Trondheim has to offer. We'll start at Stiftsgården, the royal residence and one of the largest wooden palaces in Scandinavia.
Our next stop is the breathtaking Nidaros Cathedral, the world's northernmost Gothic cathedral and an architectural masterpiece. Standing here, it's easy to feel the weight of history. Step inside and take in the remarkable stained glass and intricate details.
After Nidarosdomen, we'll wander over to Bakklandet, the city's most picturesque neighborhood. With its colorful wooden houses and cobblestone streets, Bakklandet is full of charm.
Finally, we'll end our tour at Solsiden, once the city's shipyard area, now a bustling waterfront with a lively atmosphere. Whether you're a history buff or just looking to explore, this tour gives you a true taste of Trondheim's past and present!

Price: NOK 300,- per person. Free for kids up to 12 years old. The payment will be done at the conference venue a few hours before the event starts by bank card. If you experience problems with paying by card, the cash will be accepted as well.
Important notice: The tour will take about 2 hrs with many stops around the city of Trondheim. Please remember to bring warm clothes (sweater, hat, scarf and gloves) with you! The weather in Trondheim can change fast. Waterproof clothes or an umbrella is recommended to have.
E.C Dahls Brewery Tour
E.C. Dahls Brewery was established in 1856 in Trondheim by Erich Christian Dahl. Since then E.C. Dahls brewery has become one of the largest breweries in Norway with a large portfolio of beer.
