About Trondheim
Trondheim is Norway's third largest city, with just over 200,000 inhabitants. It is known for its progressive nature and vibrant city life, while still embodying its small town heart. The downtown area is a half island surrounded by Nidelva (river) to one side and the fjord on the other side. Its fusion of history, arts, technology and green initiatives provide a culture of innovation and rich tradition. The city also has rich and unique culinary attractions. Trondheim has three Michelin star restaurants which o?er a unique experience in Nordic flavors - seafood, reindeer, and locally grown ingredients are important for the region.
Trondheim is the home for many significant scientific and technological entities including one of the largest universities in Norway, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), St. Olav University Hospital, The Foundation for Industrial and Technical Research (SINTEF) and several tech companies.

Venue Information
SSCI 2025 will be held in Clarion Hotel & Congress Centre in Trondheim. It is one of Scandinavia's biggest Congress Hotels, located right on the edge of Trondheim Fjord with fantastic views over the fjord. It is a modern hotel with a special Scandinavian architecture. You will enjoy co?ee breaks in the main foyer with an architecture inspired by Norwegian Glaciers. All rooms of the conference are co-located on the ground floor which provides easy access.
